It's that time of year when I start thinking about Christmas. (Okay, I think about Christmas ALL year, but it's the time of year when I start doing it publicly.)

I've enjoyed getting Christmas cards from some of you on my flist and I want to open up my card list as well. If you'd like me to add you to my Christmas card list, please enter your real name and snail mail below. I've screened all comments for privacy.

Today I went to an egg decorating party at my friends K&M's house. I love that Nick is finally at an age where I can set him loose with eggs to paint or pumpkins to carve and he can do it himself with no help from me. He joined his tribe of boyz and painted about 1.5 dozen eggs before playing on the trampoline/in the treehouse/on the computer.

I had fun socializing but at some point after dinner I was hit with an overwhelming tiredness. Fortunately M suggested popping in a movie so I got to lie catatonic on the floor with him and another friend watching The Royal Tennenbaums.

As I was leaving, K lamented that she barely got to talk to me and I suggested that we should go to lunch sometime--just the two of us. It seems that 95% of the time we spend together is in group situations and while she is always the life of the party, I would really like to spend more one-on-one time with her, too. Hopefully we'll get to do that sometime soon.

Every morning I wake up feeling fine but by the end of the day I feel tired and achy. I keep thinking, "This is it--I finally have that awful plague that [info]solar_diablo had," but then it never turns into anything. I wonder if my body is just doing a great job of fighting it off, or if this is something completely different. Anyway, I hope it continues to keep its distance as I'm supposed to take the kids to Castles and Coasters tomorrow for thrill rides and mini golf. I can tell I'm not feeling great because I'm on my 2nd cup of peppermint tea, and I pretty much NEVER crave tea unless I'm sick. :-(

Speaking of kids I should see if Nick is finally asleep so the Easter Bunny can come do his thing. I will cry my heart out when the kid stops believing. Tonight on the ride home he was telling me how his friend R says there's no Tooth Fairy, but he thinks she's wrong, because if there's no Tooth Fairy then her parents would have had to figure out that they had been tricked as kids, so that they could go on to trick her in turn, and that just seems highly unlikely.
